Public Transportation

In Uncategorized on 25/04/2011 at 10:51

Goooooooooood morning people,

I hope you are enjoying this sunny wheater a bit different then me. Cause this man found himself in the lucky position of using public transportation in order to travel half the country. Why you might be asking yourself.
Well I’ve been working at a beach restaurant this weekend so in order to make some money by doing something I like, drafting beers and selling other drinks, you need to give something from time to time and in this case that is sacrificing this beautiful sunny day by using a train.
So I guess that is how I should end this post.
Sometimes you’ve got to sacrifice something in order to achieve something!

Cheers!

Never do anything that doesn’t reward you with enoigh satisfaction!

Never do anything that doesn’t reward you with enough satisfaction!
It’s something I tell myself when I need to make a choice. I ask myself the question if choosing to be in that team, starting a program at that university or getting that new job rewards you with enough satisfaction.
With my job I’ll almost always answer that question positive since at the end of each month I get a reward for the work I’ve done. And as long as that reward is equal or more to the amount of work I had to put into it I’ll answer yes to my question.
Now there also is choiching your education. See a lot of people will say that school sucks and that you won’t ever be able to answer positive to that question. But I disagree. This was the year where I had to make up my mind and choice an program at an university. Though those years studying look hard the education it self does create more opportunities for me having a better future and career. See if I wouldn’t like the job that is most likely to come after that education, I wouldn’t pick that education. Now if I do like the career that lays in front of me I’ve got to admit in that case, I’ve made a good choice.
So now every time you need to make a decision think about if It gives you enough satisfaction.

Concordia res parvae crescunt

Concordia res parvae crescunt better know as Unity Makes Strength!
It’s a motto used by the dutch back in the time Holland still was a republic. It also still is the motto of Belgium, Bulgaria and Haiti.
The motto at first is just like any other motto but I started to wonder if there is some truth in it does unity really makes strength?
And I’ve got to be honest it does. When you don’t cooperate with your friends and neighbors things will go terribly wrong. For example having an argument with your neighbor about a fence or the need to go to war with your neighbor country because there is no other option. On the other hand you can be great friends with your neighbors and celebrate new years eve together with a glass of champaign or have multiple countries joining each other in organizations like the UN, EU or the NATO. Countries will certainly think twice about declaring war to NATO or EU member states.
And another example a football of hockey team can’t perform properly with out unity look at Real Madrid buying the best people in the business but not winning a major trophy cause they only bought players, who think there is an I in team.
But on the other hand there are teams who just feel know exactly what the other players do, what they think and how they will react on certain situations. This is unity and with unity comes strength which brings victory which brings happiness.
So to come to the bottom line of this post unity does it only bring strength it also brings happiness.
King of Belgium let’s just change your motto in to ‘Unity Brings Happiness’
